The opposition kicker put up a huge bomb during an 'A' team game at Headingley.
Just as Leeds full back Lee Maher was in the process of leaping to catch it a voice boomed out on the tannoy 'Don't let that ball bounce!'. Timekeeper Billy Watts was inadvertently leaning on the microphone button at the time and his pleading cry caused all on the pitch and in the stands to freeze for what was a split second but felt like a few minutes.
Needless to say, in the shock and surprise the ball did indeed hit the deck.
