Jim Ward: memorable wins for the Colts

My best memories are the people at the club and in my case especially the young people that I have coached over the years.

The Colts teams:

1984/85 - Best games played a full strength Yorkshire County team at Wakefield on New Year's Day prior to their Grand Slam campaign in the County Championship, lost 30 - 7, David Aspinall scored our try. Also beating Headingley Colts away when they were the biggest club in Yorkshire.

1996/97 and 1997/98 - Remember beating M'bro. Colts away 19-12, Andy Watson broke his thumb and Mark Paine scored the winning try.

2005/06 - Remember beating Gateshead away on a muddy field, their coach said he had never seen a better performance by a junior team.

2011/12 - Best result winning Yorkshire Bowl 2010/11 against Pocklington 35-7.
