October 1967: Hull KR 27 - 15 Australia
What a great occasion, a hat trick for Roger (The Dodger) Millward and an early bath for an Aussie forward took exception to this.
Played on a balmy Saturday afternoon, I was vaguely aware at the time of having witnessed something special but when you're 11 everything seems 'special'. Roger went onto terrorise the Aussies in the 3 Tests (.......and for many years to come....) but as has become the norm Australia triumphed when it mattered and took the Ashes 2 : 1.

Two weeks after this match Roger Millward scored a try and three goals in the First Test at Headingley, which Great Britain won 16-11
