Liam Horrigan: 2003, the last match at Wilderspool

Being at Wilderspool for the final league game v Wakey was a bitter sweet experience. I was taken to Wilderspool from the age of 2/3 and had seen it all in terms of highs and lows and to be there with family members whose shoulders I had sat on to see my heroes play was a wonderful way to say my goodbyes to a place I really did love.

I had the pleasure of playing there probably 40-50 times and it was a great place to play too.

Liam Horrigan

Warrington won the last match played at Wilderspool, beating Wakefield Trinity 52-12
