John Robinson: Memories of being with my Dad in the 60s and 70s

My father started to take me to Wilderspool in the late 60s early 70s and I can remember the crowds of people going over the Causeway bridges, both iron and concrete. The queues were the length of Fletcher Street, with the Repent Now Sinners at the top and bottom of the queues. I can remember being on my Dad's shoulders looking for a man with white hair as my old man kept on shouting c'mon Whitehead as the great-man kicked over another goal from the touchline, and has we shuffled out saying to my Dad do we have to pay to get out? Great great days and happy memories with what life is all about father and son stories
