Chris Thorman: a career memory of the 2006 Challenge Cup run

My greatest memory of my time with the Huddersfield Giants, was captaining the side to its first Challenge Cup final in over 40 years.

I've never been one for holding on to memorabilia from my playing career because the vivid memories of experiences like this, far outweigh material possessions. Playing in front of so many people with a group of teammates you would gladly go to war with and the culmination of years of hard work will live with me forever.

Chris Thorman

In 2006 Huddersfield Giants reached their first Challenge Cup Final since 1953, beating Halifax, York City Knights, Salford City Reds and Leeds Rhinos before losing to St. Helens in the Final.
